This group covers Japanese, Korean, Thai, Vietnamese, Indian and other Asian cuisines that are not Chinese, and the etiquette varies by kitchen. Japanese and Korean restaurants often take reservations for dinner and may add a service charge for large groups; Thai and Vietnamese spots are usually walk-in and quick-turnover. Spice levels are frequently adjustable on request at Thai, Indian and Sichuan-adjacent menus, so say if you want it mild or hot. Korean BBQ restaurants typically charge per person for all-you-can-eat service with a time limit, and grills are shared at the table. Vietnamese pho shops post bowl sizes (regular or large) and a plate of herbs, bean sprouts and lime is normal to add yourself. Card and tap-to-pay are widely accepted; cash-only is more common at small family-run counters.

Erie is in Pennsylvania, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. Getting around Erie is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across Pennsylvania's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

This is one of my favorite restaurants, not only in the Erie area but of all time! Every meal I have ever had here is nothing short of absolutely delicious. You can tell that they take so much pride in the preparation and presentation of their food. I feel blessed to have this absolute gem so close to home and hope anyone who happens to find themselves in the area gives it a try! I highly recommend the crab rangoons and chicken satay as appetizers. The drunken fried rice is always my go to order but the pumpkin curry is also delicious!

Never misses. I get Thai Eatery once every month or two. Some of my favorites/go-to's (in no particular order): Fried Spring Rolls, Pad MaMa, Drunken Fried Rice, Prik Khing, Red Curry (pictured), Panang Curry.

Definitely stop by if you want to experience authentic an delicious Thai food! I assume this place is more for a take out since inside isn’t really cozy for a restaurant. It’s clean, just dated. Service was great, food was delicious! I love crab ragons and order them everywhere and they had the best ones anywhere I ate before! Pad Thai is delicious, spices on point. Definitely highly recommend their food!!! Not really fancy when dining in, but I wouldn’t expect anything. Clean and delicious.

I had the pleasure of dining at Thai Eatery on Peach Street in Erie with two friends, and I can’t recommend it enough! The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, perfect for a casual night out or a special occasion. The menu offers a wonderful variety of traditional Thai dishes, each bursting with authentic flavors. One friend got the Pad Thai, which was absolutely delicious – the perfect balance of sweet, salty, and spicy. I had the Drunken Mama, which was a fantastic choice! The bold flavors and the perfect amount of spice made it a standout dish. I think I had the level 2. The best part? It’s BYOB, so we brought along our favorite bottle of wine. We all loved our food selections – everyone was thoroughly impressed. The staff was friendly and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed throughout the meal. Whether you’re a Thai food enthusiast or a newcomer, this place is definitely worth a visit. I can’t wait to go back and try more of their mouthwatering dishes!

Our first time here. Ordered green curry with chicken and pineapple curry with beef, and 4 out of 5 spiciness. Curry came with rice. The flavor was excellent, better than most from comparable Thai food we tried in many places in the US. The veggies and meat were cooked properly. The beef portion could be a bit more. 5 stars for food taste and quality. Spicy level 4 was fine but could be intolerable for average person. 5 stars for service, being fast and no fuss. The place was about half full when we arrived for a late lunch. Parking was sufficient. Atmosphere 3 stars but that’s about the same for comparable restaurants. We came for the food anyway. Place was clean including the restroom. Price was reasonable. We plan to come back whenever we find ourselves within the vicinity.
